I hate the word, "Staycation."
Hate it. It's such a stupid concept. I guess it started as a term for working people, when they take time off from work but they don't use it for travel. Instead of going to the beach or to a cabin, they just stay in their house and relax, for the most part.
Does that really need a term? Isn't that called, "being at home.?" Or, taking "time off from work?"
Does everything need a fancy little name? A really annoying, fancy little name? Just enjoy your time at home and don't infest commercials with that word. That's where I heard it, months after I thought it disappeared from common use. It was a pool commercial, and something was said along the lines of, "buy a pool, and turn your backyard into a resort to get the most out of your staycation this summer!" Then I saw it on an advertisement at the grocery store.
Horrible, nausiating, ugh.
I wish... America... would stop being so... annoying...
