Next time, I'm getting out of the car.

EDIT (FEBRUARY 18, 2009)

I read back my rant on people smoking in cars and smoking in general.

I changed my opinion. So I deleted my old post. But I like the picture so... I'm keeping this post up slightly.

We're the problem. We're the politicians.

I read in a news article that Cindy McCain's outfit cost around $300,000 dollars. Appalling!

That's a lot of zeros. I don't think my entire family's wardrobe is worth that much.

I really wonder what type of message these politicians and their wives are trying to portray. That only the super rich can lead a country of average people? Horrible message. I really could care less about what these people are wearing, and I wish they would too. They need to focus on things that will make us AVERAGE citizens relate and want to vote for them. We vote for the issues and causes they stand for, but I can never tell what they do stand for, because politicians waste time and money on clothes and slandering pointless television advertisements and lies. So. Many. Lies.

I guess I can't ever lead anything. I buy all my clothes on clearance.

We are broken, we are bitter
We're the problem, we're the politicians
Watching for our sky to get torn apart

"Minnie Mouse is Pregnant! Not really, but it wouldn't surprise me these days..."

Mickey Mouse eats kids for breakfast... raw and with no salt.

I am sooooo tired of seeing little girls like this and this running around the mall or whatever. I feel like slapping them, and then slapping their mothers for allowing it. They do not look like preteens. Not one bit. I just hate how these little girls are trying to look and act like high schoolers.

Why?

The stupid shows on TV. The specific culprits? Those kiddie sitcoms on the Disney Channel and leaking over into Nickelodeon. What ever happened to cartoons? They were hit in a drive-by, by these new criminals to society. Ew. I just can't stand those new age shows! All the shows like Hannah Montana, Zoey 101, High School Musical, iCarly... they're all so snobby! It's gross. Kids will imitate what they see on TV, and they do.

The kids portrayed on these shows are conceited, superficial, have that snarky way of speaking that I DESPISE, and it's unbelievable. They are shown in these relationships that 12 year old kids think they can be in and it's ridiculous. Sixth graders think they can act like high schoolers, talk like high schoolers, dress like them, and everything! It's as if kids in this horrid new generation are skipping the elementary years altogether.

I know that times have changed, but where are positive role models who are the same age as the ones looking up to them? Where are shows like Full House, Cosby Show, Sabrina, Brady Bunch, and other examples that I can't think of. I can't remember because its as if all the old stuff disappeared completely by these new monstrosities. It's not as if these old shows didn't have anything questionable and eyebrow raising, and stuff that was a little above younger people. Kids need that. But they need a balance of it all. A balance of bad and good, even if these things are objectionable. They don't need what's going on now to be every single thing they watch, hear, see, or be exposed to. I'm not a protective nutcase, its just that kids are trying to grow up too fast, more like they are being forced to. Let childhood run its course and kids will discover things and grow up on their own. The media and everything else around kids is just screwed up and kids can't keep up on their own terms.

I mean, my rant up there may have made no sense at all, but the following may. I'm so riled up after seeing stars like Jamie Lynn Spears, who is a girl younger than I am, have a kid at her young age. The main ages of her fans are between 8 and 15. What kind of message is that?! And then there are the countless photos of Miley Cyrus and Vannessa whatever-her-name-is that surface the web. So what if some are photoshoots gone wrong! Explain the candid photographs out there. They took them and put them up! Then there are the stars that get DUIs, go into drug rehab, are shown wasting money on $10,000 purses and shoes, cheating on people, and the list goes on. I don't remember the stars of Hollywood past getting into as much trouble as today's generation's stars. Sure, with fame there will always be scandal. But this... is disappointing.

I feel sorry for children. Hate to see what the next generation brings...

Sad world.

-Lynne, eternally a kid at heart. And the real kind, too.

Levitation

And now for something different.

I believe that if you concentrate on something hard enough and long enough, and soley on that something, it will eventually levitate. Sadly, I don't think that humans have the capacity to do this. We can't completely focus and clear our minds of everything but that something we are trying to levitate. It's just a very long shot that this will ever happen, so I'm not saying that it's impossible. Those, such as monks who claim to have done this (the cleared mind thing, not the levitation), I don't believe. There had to be something that just popped in their minds. The only way to maybe clear your mind could possibly be drugs. This wouldn't help to levitate anything though, since your abilities are affected by that, and its not pure brainwaves and mind.

I don't really know if that made any sense, but I'm just saying...
